“We have embraced an independent solar power system for both our residence and business, enabling us and our clients to enjoy the benefits of renewable energy.”

Given the shifting landscape of property prices in Australia and the changing world, it felt like a natural progression for us to embark on a Tiny House venture. Drawing upon our extensive experience in the construction industry, we prioritize best building practices, environmentally conscious design, and sustainable materials. Inspired by the Tiny House movement in the United States, we sought to offer our own unique, contemporary, and environmentally friendly designs here in Australia.

After growing up in the Blue Mountains NSW and completing our education and apprenticeships, we embarked on a journey around Australia and various parts of the world. While working in South East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, we managed to save for the deposit on a stunning 100-acre bush property in Upper Brogo, located on the NSW Far South Coast. Our deep appreciation for nature and passion for working with recycled timber and sustainable materials led us to establish a Carpentry & Joinery business over 20 years ago.

During that time, we also embarked on the construction of our own handcrafted mortise and tenon portal frame house, which became a labor of love and a creative outlet for our design ideas. With the arrival of our first beautiful daughter and later another, our lives were filled with the joy of building, working, establishing gardens, and raising children. We were fortunate to find ourselves surrounded by a supportive community of talented, skilled, and creative individuals.

Embracing an off-grid solar power system for our home and business has allowed us to harness the advantages of renewable energy, while also extending these benefits to our valued customers.

Our design offers the flexibility of choosing between an off-grid solar power system and a composting toilet or a connection to the mains power grid with a conventional toilet. We believe our designs are not only stylish and practical but also demonstrate that it’s possible to have all the modern luxuries in a beautiful and affordable package. Additionally, deck and verandah options can be added to your Tiny House once it is parked.

It is important to note that legal Tiny Houses in Australia have restrictions on weight, length, and height. We have invested significant time and effort into ensuring compliance with these legal requirements and inspection standards. This provides buyers with the assurance that their Tiny House is professionally built and meets all necessary legal classifications. To be deemed legal in Australia, a Tiny House must be constructed on a compliant trailer and be eligible for registration. This eliminates the need for a Development Application (DA) and the associated cost savings.
