His journey began 34 years ago when he constructed his own small cabin in the hinterland of Byron Bay. Living comfortably with solar power, rainwater harvesting, a composting toilet, and a thriving vegetable garden, he recognized the potential of compact, movable homes that prioritize style and comfort.

Inspired by his passion and experience in the building and construction industry, Stephen launched Micro Living Australia in August 2017, based in Byron Bay NSW.
